Founded on the philosophy of innovation through collaboration, Fender Katsalidis has evolved from a Melbourne-centric architectural practice, to a highly awarded, multi-disciplinary international design firm whose work now influences built environment thinking across the globe. Committed to design that is a force for meaningful, positive change, today, the practice is the name behind some of the world’s most significant and progressive built environments.
When the design team for The Wheelhouse was being assembled, co-founder Karl Fender was the obvious choice for architect. In addition to being Martha Cove’s ‘town architect’, having already designed The Moorings, his hands-on, collaborative and meticulous approach to residential design ensured the result would be exemplary on all fronts.
Representing over 40 years of work, Carr is an architecture and interior design studio based in Melbourne with a timeless approach that fosters connection. Whilst designing residences, every detail is thoughtfully considered, coalescing in work that forges new ground while remaining true to their philosophy and vision.
Spearheaded by industry legend and design visionary Sue Carr, the practice is consistent in its creation of interior solutions that are considered, refined and enduring delivered with rigour, authenticity and engagement. The interior spaces of The Wheelhouse are emblematic of philosophy, showcasing a tangible commitment to enriching the lives of those who inhabit them.
